Vaccinations and Preventive Care:
Pediatricians administer vaccinations and provide guidance on preventive healthcare measures to ensure the well-being of their young patients.
Emergency Care: Pediatricians in hospitals often respond to emergency situations involving children, such as trauma, injuries, or critical illnesses.

Qualifications:
- FCPS, MCPS or DCPS, Specialization in the relevant field.
- Training completed in a renowned hospital.
- Preferably with public health experience.
- Previous work in NGOs preferably in remote areas.
- Experience of working with range of people, organisations and cultures.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in working with children and their families are essential qualities for pediatricians.
- Team work, flexibility and relationship building skills.
- Calm under pressure.
- Fluent written and spoken English language.
- After completing medical school, pediatricians undergo a residency program in pediatrics, typically lasting three years. This provides hands-on training in various pediatric specialties.
